To design an effective touch monitor or other touch application, you should understand how to choose the right touch panel to match your system. There are several basic criteria:

Frame Area (FA)
Normally the outside dimensions of touch panel should be the same or smaller than LCD’s outside dimensions.

Viewable Area (VA)
This area is transparent on the touch panel. Normally LCD’s active area is smaller than touch panel’s viewing area.

Active Area (AA)
In most cases, the touch panel’s active area is 0.3 mm larger than LCD’s active area.

Bezel size
Bezel’s open area should be at least 0.3 mm larger than active area.
