Liyitec Introduces New Touch Controllers at CeBIT 2007
New URTC^TM-3000 and 4000e Benefit 3M and Elo Resistive Touch Users

CeBIT (Booth #B40, Hall 19), Hannover, Mar. 15, 2007 – Liyitec Inc., a global leading manufacturer of touch screens, has expanded its URTC^TM universal resistive touch controller product line with more models and new features, and will demonstrate the new URTC-3000 and 4000e at CeBIT 2007 in Hannover, Germany.

Besides incorporating all existing unique features of URTC-1000, the URTC-3000 supports Microsoft’s newest operation system, Windows Vista, as well as device auto-sensing and plug-and-play for both USB and Serial interfaces. Another advance feature is that the URTC-3000 no longer needs to change jumper settings when swapping between 4 or 5-wire touch panels. All configurations including PIN assignments can be done through the LiyiTouch utility.

The URTC-3000 adopts the form factor of 3M Touch’s resistive touch controller board, while the URTC-4000 controller board adopts from Elo’s resistive touch controller board. This allows touch system integrators to integrate Liyitec’s URTC controllers without changing any mechanical design.

“With 3M Touch pulling out the resistive touch market, it’s important for these 3M customers to find an alternative solution,” said Denise Chang, VP of sales and marketing at Liyitec. “When developing our newest controller board for Windows Vista, we decided on 3M Touch controller board’s form factor to support these integrators.”

Derived from URTC-1000, the URTC-4000 inherits the features of URTC-1000, such as, auto-sensing between USB and Serial interfaces, 4/5-wire support, high sampling rates and high response rates. The URTC-3000 even enhances dramatically on stylus writing support and drag-and-drop functions that are required in the Windows Vista working environment, such as Tablet PC, UMPC and Touch PC. Other new features include wider tolerance of terminal resistance and better touch sensor compatibility.

Availability
Available now, all URTC controllers support various operation systems -- Windows 98/2000/ME/XP/NT/CE/Vista, as well as DOS and Linux.
